McLaren’s special operations department, MSO, usually features spectacular and unique creations, so it has decided to show its latest project to the public in Geneva. It is a unique copy that takes as base the version of roof discovered of one of its most powerful sports: the McLaren 720S Spider. The engineers of the British brand decided to give a distinctive touch to the convertible and for this they chose an innovative painting that combines three different tones to create a set called Coriolis, whose main function, besides capturing all eyes, is to reflect how the air flows over the car body of the car, highlighting those aerodynamic areas that work perfectly so that the McLaren 720S Spider by MSO stays glued to the asphalt at all times. In total, the team in charge of carrying out this work took more than 260 hours to complete all the affected elements with the three-tone painting, made up of cerulean blue, burton blue and black abyss, which can be found in the front splitter, at the entrances both front and rear, lower door panels, rear-view mirrors, rear bumper and rear aerofoil. In addition, it features forged 10-spoke wheels finished in brilliant black, as well as unique blue brake calipers and a body covered with a new gray shade called Meteorite Gray. Other peculiarities of this specimen are the glossy carbon fiber cover, the diffuser and the B-pillars in that same material, as well as a sport exhaust system, the Stealth package and the electrochromic glass for the retractable hardtop panel. Moving into the interior, upholstered surfaces appear in Alcantara Burton Blue and Jet Black, as well as several components of the cockpit in carbon fiber.Other prominent features inside the British convertible are glossy carbon seat backrests, MSO logo pedals, an exclusive edition board, custom rugs and head restraints, including car keys with the same three-stroke paint tones found outside. In the mechanical part there is no modification and the 4.0-liter V8 turbocharged engine, capable of generating 720 hp and a maximum torque of 770 Nm, is still present. This engine is coupled to an automatic double-clutch transmission with seven ratios, allowing a acceleration from 0 to 200 km / h in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 341 km / h.

McLaren Automotive has announced an exciting new feature that will soon reach its dealers. The main protagonist is the McLaren 720S, one of the most exclusive British supersports that can be found today in the market. Now it can be configured with a new optional package that has as its main objective to make this model an even more feared monster. This is the new Track Pack package, an inexpensive option but that includes a series of components and improvements to make this supersport a more focused vehicle for a track use.One of the most relevant improvements associated with this package is that, with its installation, the McLaren 720S will lose about 24 kilos of weight. The loss of weight comes in large part due to the new wheels of forleaves superleves with a design of ten rays. To this we must add a body kit that modifies in a light, but very interesting, the image that denotes the 720S.The active rear airfoil now adopts a brilliant black finish thanks to the performance of the McLaren MSO staff. Also it is necessary to mention the exhaust system sport. In relation to the interior there are carbon fiber competition benches and carbon shift shifters installed in the steering wheel. Nor can we ignore the black steering wheel with Alcantara inserts.Another novelty offered by this package is a telemetry system that uses a three-camera system, as well as integrated software to provide the driver with valuable information to improve their driving. There is no change in mechanics, so the McLaren 720S Track Pack continues to be propelled by a 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8 engine that develops a power output of 720 hp and allows it to accelerate from 0 to 200 km / h in just 7.8 seconds. The active suspension system and carboceramic disc brakes will be key to controlling this monster on wheels. The Track Pack package has a UK starting price of £ 28,360, which should be added to the price of the McLaren 720S itself. The first deliveries are scheduled for the first half of next year 2019. McLaren has just revealed the latest member of the Ultimate Series, the new McLaren Senna. His name requires little explanation, being a clear homage to one of the greatest riders of all time. Its name was used to baptize this sport of two places, that the British mark guarantees to treat itself of the model of street more efficient in lane of its still short history like manufacturer of sports. This model was known by the internal design code P15 and does not really serve the purpose of replacing the McLaren P1 Hybrid. The new McLaren Senna is the most radical and efficient option on the track, but without losing the ability to legally drive on open roads.Utilizing the latest evolution of the twin-turbo V8 engine, commonly used by the brand in all its models and debuting with the recent McLaren 720S, the M840TR now produces 800 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque. Unlike P1, this one does not have electrical aids of any kind, therefore it is not hybrid.Built on Monocage III’s latest Monocage III monocoque chassis update, it uses the revised McLaren P1 suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, which McLaren calls the RaceActive Chassis Control II (RCC II).These are interconnected by a hydraulic system that has 2 valves per damper to control the compression and rebound movements. Combined with the K-damper kinetic control system, it ensures that the stability and traction of the model on the asphalt is the most ideal in every moment, counting with all the driving modes that counted the P1 (Comfort, Sport and Track) to which the new program ‘Race Mode’ is added. The performance is expected of such a model, and although the exact numbers have not yet been revealed, the approximate data of the new McLaren Senna are brutal. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-60 mph) in 2.5 seconds or less and its top speed is above 320 km / h. It was not announced, but is expected to become the fastest McLaren street to date today. The design of the model is very groundbreaking, does not rely on the usual curvatures and shapes of other models of the brand. The Senna is full of air inlets and outlets and its aerodynamic configuration looks more like a track-only version.First of all, its most distinguishable sign is its huge fixed rear aerofoil, which explains the mysterious test mules that could be seen with this element in recent months. This is one of the more bulky aircrafts that have emerged on a branded street model and makes it clear from the first moment that it is really meant for the track.Only in the frontal part do you see similarities with other models of the brand, having a large gap for the headlights with the usual shapes of the Woking brand. The rest we can say is all new and does not look like anything seen before in the brand. The passenger compartment is of the bubble type and is almost completely glazed, also comes with transparent openings on the doors that can be ordered with glass or carbon fiber cover. These openings increase the sensation of space and the visual connection to the lane, but they do not really have a particular function, as we find in some all-terrains that use this type of lower windows. It will be presented live at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and will have a production of 500 units. Its base price is 750,000 pounds (3.3 million reais) that once the unit is set up, it will surely rise to a million pounds (4.4 million reals).

McLaren Special Operations, better known as MSO, is currently working on five unique copies of the new McLaren Senna. The first of them is ready for launch and it’s McLaren Senna ‘Carbon Theme’. A personalization of the last car created by the Woking staff. It presents a different image thanks to different exterior and interior details. The model that appears in the pictures is dressed in a carbon fiber suit. The McLaren MSO division used this lightweight, tough material to create a more aggressive and extreme look. In addition, it has several details in yellow and gray to create a very interesting contrast. Nor does it overlook the green brake calipers. The shades refer to the colors of the flag of Brazil, the native country of Ayrton Senna.Another detail that does not go unnoticed are the new seven-spoke wheels that are about 10% lighter than those used by the standard model and feature a blue finish in the center. The ‘Carbon Theme’ package has a total of 67 elements that needed about 1,000 hours of work to create. The package needs 300 hours of work to be installed.Taking a look at the pictures of the interior, a passenger compartment appears where a large amount of Alcantara was used, green seams and black trims. The steering wheel shows the top indicator in yellow and the seat headrests show Senna’s ‘S’ in a gray shade. There is nothing new about the mechanical part. The new McLaren Senna ‘Carbon Theme’ continues to be propelled by a 4.0-liter V8 Twin-Turbo engine with 800 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque. Thanks to this engine the new McLaren model is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 3 seconds and reach a top speed of 340 km / h.With a production limited to 500 copies (everyone already owns one), McLaren Senna positions itself as one of the most exclusive and radical modern super sports cars ever developed. It has a starting price of 750,000 pounds (3,350,000 reais), but the ‘Carbon Theme’ package has an extra cost of 300,000 pounds (1,340,000 reais). In total, the vehicle reaches the value of 1,050,000 pounds (4,690,000 reais).

One thing no one says about McLaren Senna is that the British hype needs more power. But Hennessey Performance, a well-known Texas-based trainer, does not think so and has just released its HPE1000 performance pack for the British model. The engine is still the same 4.0-liter V8, but with this kit the Senna goes to produce impressive 1,000 horsepower, 200 hp more than the original version of the model. This increased power was achieved thanks to the installation of larger turbos, a new intercooler, large-flow air filters, a Motec ECU and a stainless steel sport exhaust system.Hennessey has not revealed the official numbers of this preparation nor its price, but if we take into account that the series McLaren Senna is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and reach 340 km / h maximum speed , surely these 200 hp more will take Senna to even more spectacular records. For those who want a slightly more contained proposal, Hennessey also offers the HPE900 power kit that leaves the Senna with ‘only’ 900 hp. In either case, the preparer offers a three-year or 58,000-mile warranty.
